For 40 years Biras Creek Resort has provided a perfect backdrop for engagement celebrations, destination weddings, romantic honeymoons, anniversary getaways, and family reunions. Biras Creek Resort makes every visit an event to remember.
Couples planning a Biras Creek Resort wedding choose from a selection of romantic settings for the big day – from the terraces that overlook the North Sound or the white beach of Deep Bay to our lush, extensive and expertly tended gardens. A wedding gazebo is available on request and can be incorporated into any of the stunning settings.
While most of our brides and grooms choose to wed during a daylight ceremony, sunrise or sunset weddings can be arranged for a small, extra fee. And, Biras Creek Resort can arrange for an island Registrar or pastor to conduct the ceremony.
Let Biras Creek Resort organize the perfect cocktail party to compliment your wedding getaway. Parties for wedding guests can be held in the Arawak Room, on our private white-sand beach, or on one of the many well-appointed verandas that dot the property.
Reception celebrations for our newly married guests can be designed for our main dining room in the Hilltop Restaurant or in the Arawak Room, or on our stunning beaches.
Tropical Wedding Package
Aside from providing the perfect backdrop for the big day, Biras Creek Resort's attentive staff can also take care of the smaller, important details. For a $2,000 fee, our Tropical Wedding Package includes: marriage license and stamp, registrar's fee, bridal bouquet and groom's boutonniere, wedding cake, champagne toast for two and expert island photographer.
Wedding Application Process
Engaged couples must apply in person for a BVI marriage license at least three business days prior to the wedding ceremony. Escorted by our wedding coordinator, applications must be filed at the Registrar's Office in Tortola, Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm (except holidays). The Registrar will confirm the date and time of the ceremony.
Marriage license applicants must present the following documentation to the Registrar. All documents must be originals (or certified copies) and in English:
1. Passport (with BVI entry cards)
2. Divorce Decree (if applicable)
3. Death Certificate of former spouse (if applicable)
4. Proof of your legal name change
