The week was full of exciting events to end a hard day of racing - Cocktail parties at YCCS, BBQ at Bitter End, and a Dinner/Cocktail Reception at Oil Nut Bay. None as exhilarating as the races themselves.
Day 1: Was taken by Robertissima, winning race 1 and 3, while Volpe took Race 2.
Day 2: Argo stole the lead in Race 3 from Inga from Sweden to win all three races for the day.
Day 3: Robertissima walked away with all three wins.
Day 4: An intense battle for the win of the final race, with Argo taking first.

Overall, Robertissima came out on top and are the first ever  2013 OtterBox® Melges 32 Virgin Islands Sailing Series, Event No. 1 Virgin Gorda CHAMPIONS!

Dark 'n' Stormy!

There may be a few more dark and stormy days ahead of us but that is just a great excuse for a cocktail of the same name!

We're monitoring the hurricane tracker software to see what happens to the depression that is forming to our east. Right now it looks as if it will track to the Windward Islands way to our south, but rest assured that we have a preparedness plan and have begun to quietly action it in case that sneeky storm decides to take a last minute northern detour. For now, it's time for a Dark 'n' Stormy cocktail. All of our bartenders know how to make them and they seem to brighten the darkest sky!

Cheers!

Guest of Biras Creek can arrive at the resort by boat or helicopter.
One of the many charms of Biras Creek is that the resort is only accessible by boat or helicopter. Even if you choose to arrive by water, we can arrange for a helicopter tour of the area as these guests did yesterday. Virgin Gorda looks even more spectacular from the air and you can really appreciate the incredible natural beauty of the place hovering 1000' above the sea. Ask our Guest Assistants to set up a tour for you with helicopter pilot, Maria. She can also be booked to transport you to Biras Creek from St. Thomas and arrive in true style with no hassle!

Guests at Biras Creek can choose to be as active or inactive as they choose. We usually find that after a couple of days on our beautiful beach, the allure of the Hobie Cats is too much, and our head water sports instructor, Wayne, and his team are only too happy to take guests out and provide a complimentary lesson (in addition to the complimentary use of all the equipment!)

Congratulations to Dr Dawn Marta and Mr. Lou Nelson on their marriage. The happy couple chose Biras Creek as the venue for their wedding, and you can see why! It is without doubt one of the most romantic places on earth.
